The dreaded silence

It was the dreaded silence afterwards that annoyed her, but she knew that it was to be expected since everything was so simply planned and executed. Strangely enough nothing seemed to go wrong, contrary to the attempts at planning anything else, but this; the act of admitting great vulnerability was so easily done.
Yet it was the silence, even though she was in an underground station with tens and hundreds of noise sources, that made her uncomfortable, and it seemed to be following her everywhere she went. Her mind became transfixed that nothing shall cure this storm of nothingness except more noise, more action, more annoyance and distraction, and so she heads to a tourist attraction where there is bound to be things to do.

The weather was gloomy just the way she liked it, there was plenty to see and do, but nothing seemed exciting really, although it is exciting, but again the silence. She debates in her mind wether to wait in line to get the famous picture of this attraction, but then who would take it, she was alone. She could ask someone, but she hates posing for pictures. A couple of asian ladies are standing behind her and they wonder who to ask to take a picture of them both, they decide to ask her and she agrees and after polite greetings and cautious smiles, they find out that she was traveling alone and so they offer to take her photo; dilemma solved. She should be happy, after all the whole point of going to this attraction was to take this wretched photo. Yet, she wasn't happy or relieved, she was grateful, but that was it. She experienced a sort of trance in which the horrid silence seemed to haunt her. She knew that everything would be better after she's had a good night sleep...hopefully.

Sina: Is this from a movie voice over? Or did you write this? I found it a work of art, beautiful, I actually had it pegged as the voice over in the earlier parts of the new movie "Cairo" :)
