Desperatly seeking non MS database

I don't know how this happens, but I always get stuck with IT-related stuff, whether at home or at work. First it was my Dad's website, then his laptop then my sister's laptop then the phone then the receiver (which by the way wasn't plugged in) then it was the receiver's cables (which were hanging outside of the window and I had to get a broom, while my sister was clutching my t-shirt, so that I can fix it without plummeting to a quick death) then it was a simple meeting at work, which ended with me doing a Database program for the forms we have lying around. So, dragging my feet from the meeting table to my desk, I started to search for DB programming programs that were easi-er than the awful MS SQL.

After 2 days of trying to find, learn and seek something other than the dreaded Microsoft SQL and Visual Basic 2005 Express edition (nothing express about it), after downloading many of sun's programs (MYSQL) and trying to read forms about these programs. I ended up returning to MS and it stupid SQL. AgHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh!!

Just because I have a stupid degree that says I know how to make a computer malfunction, doesn't mean I CAN. Don't believe everything you read.
